Sonoma County Water Agency,
Education Program

This Agency transmits water to 600,000 residents in parts of Sonoma and Marin Counties. One of their projects is a Water Education Program that reaches thousands of students every year with free lessons and materials on water conservation and stewardship of our local watersheds.

Note: Teachers can borrow the Saving Walter book for 2 weeks using the Agency lending library.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Russian River Watershed Association
A coalition of eleven cities, counties, and special districts in Sonoma County's Russian River Watershed that have come together to coordinate regional programs for clean water, fisheries restoration, and watershed enhancement. The Association works to promote cooperation and implementation of projects that protect watershed resources, restore fisheries, and improve water quality at reduced cost to our member agencies and the communities they serve.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Project WET.ORG
"We envision a world in which action-oriented education enables every child to understand and value water, ensuring a sustainable future." This national organization publishes water education materials, offers educator workshops, organizes community water events, and is building a network of people advocating for water education to help solve complex water issues.
